Case Study - BENU pharmacies

BENU pharmacies have been working with data and data insights for several years. They rely on the Business Intelligence platform from datasapiens. A new chapter started when BENU decided to share more data insights with their suppliers.

Most of the suppliers in pharmacies face a problem. They do not know exactly what is going on with their products after unloading them from the truck at the warehouse.

Pharmacies, as well as other retail companies can, in full compliance with legislation, collect data about their sales and customers. They analyze the data, improve their offerings and ultimately improve also their results. This data has the potential to improve sales and marketing strategy, but also to deliver cost savings, and fundamentally change their approach to business. This data insights has only the pharmacy chain under normal circumstances, so it is very valuable for their suppliers.

During the first month after the BENU data-sharing platform was launched, 20 suppliers showed interest. By the end of 2019 over 50 companies were paying for different types of platform licenses.

What suppliers appreciate the most is the clarity and intuitiveness. They can quickly find key information, evaluate the success of products, sales representatives and opportunities for further growth.

The main benefit for BENU apart from direct revenue is an improved cooperation with suppliers. Another advantage is the unification of data for business negotiations with suppliers as both parties work with the same numbers.
